About Me

  • When I’m at work, I prefer to be so busy I can’t think, and when I’m home I love to veg, nap, and avoid responsibility as much as possible. Obviously, that isn’t as easy as it used to be. Motherhood has its challenges and drawbacks but I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world.
  • Irony, dry wit, animals that act like people, and House make me laugh.
  • For the most part, I’m very impatient - I can NOT wait ten minutes to get a take-out order home before I start eating.
  • I hope to spend few years living in another country (must talk hubby into that one).
  • I love to learn and generally pick things up quickly.
  • I start dozens of projects that I never finish, but I have a lot of fun doing them.
  • I constantly change my mind.
  • I am optimistic about other people and generally give them the benefit of the doubt - however, I am not trusting of other people and rarely allow them access to my innermost self.
  • My loyalty must be earned, but is a strong tie.
  • Generally, I am conservative. I am strongly pro-life. Ann Coulter scares me.
  • I am efficient, and usually there is a method behind everything I do - even something as stupid as in which order I conduct my pre-bedtime routine activities.
  • My facial recognition skills are deficient. I can have a lengthy conversation with someone and not recognize them a week later. This is occasionally embarrassing.
  • When hurt, forgiveness is not easy for me. I can forget about a trespass long before I can forgive the trespasser.
  • In a parallel universe, I would probably be a web designer. I don’t know very much about web design, and can’t convince myself to suffer through classes on it, so I’m not one. But I do enjoy tinkering with the little bit that I do know.
  • For the last several years I have been married to a wonderful guy who makes me laugh, keeps me thinking and is my best friend.
  • I am naturally an introvert, though I don’t mind making presentations in front of large groups. It’s the small-talk that I have a slight phobia of, as I’m not very good at it. Naturally, I married one of the most extroverted people I’ve ever met. He started talking in complete sentences at 6 months and hasn’t stopped yet ;-)
  • I am not an expert in anything, but proficient in many things.
