Mood Swings
Button spent the day alternating between extreme cuddliness - complete with very sloppy open-mouth cheek kisses and head-lock snuggles - and discontented fury.
One minute she’s jumping around, giggling, and playing with my hair (have I mentioned her recent obsession with my hair?) and the next minute she’s kicking and screaming like someone just ripped a toenail off.
I am beginning to suspect that she thinks the word “Ma-Ma” is a curse word, based on her recent usage of it.
She might be going through a growth spurt, which could explain her consumption of 15 oz of milk in the span of 3 hours (as opposed to the usual 6 oz). It would also explain her recent sleeping habits (she went to sleep an hour and a half early, and managed to sleep through an entire game outside).
Or, she might be teething. That might explain the sudden temper fits and grouchiness.
But between the mood swings and her obvious preference for sweet things (she will only eat fruit)… I’m beginning to wonder if perhaps we have a premature case of PMS.
And I’m beginning to worry about those adolescent years.

You know, there a few few miny stages they go through just as they are learning to crawl, sit, and walk. They just get really crabby. I think it is frustration that they know they will be able to walk/crawl/sit but can’t just yet. I have seen tons of babies go through this. Maybe your’s is too.
