Island Tag
Jennifer at Mama’s Moon tagged me, and I’m finally getting around to this. It’s the Stranded Island meme and I have to choose which Books, Movies, Albums and People I would bring along.
BOOKS:
Ok, I’m about to commit blogger heresy here by announcing the fact that I don’t really enjoy reading. I know I have probably just banished myself to the 7th ring of hell in the minds of all you bookworms (because there does seem to be an overabundance of bookworms in the blogging community). But there you have it. Occasionally, I can get caught up in a Nora Roberts book, or an informational book on whatever my latest self-education project is. But I NEVER read a book twice, so it’s hard to know what I would bring since - obviously - I haven’t read it yet.
- Something with a shiny cover from Nora Roberts
- A Poirot Mystery
- The Bible (RSV Please)
MOVIES:
This is also a hard one, as I don’t really enjoy watching movies repeatedly. J has a nice movie collection, but if I were on my own I probably wouldn’t actually own a single movie because once I’ve seen it it tends to sit there untouched for a very. very. very long (sometimes indefinite period of) time.
- Poirot Movie Collection (the ones with David Suchet)
- Chicken Run
- Lord of the Rings Trilogy (Yes, I get to bring ALL THREE because they were originally written to be ONE BOOK. SO THERE)
ALBUMS:
- Sarah McLachlan (I just looked it up and realized I’ve been spelling her name wrong for 9 years) Surfacing
- Toby Lightman Little Things
- BareNaked Ladies Rock Spectacle
PEOPLE:
- J (duh)
- Button (duh)Â
- My mom, because she and Button have a mutual crush on each other and her offers to babysit keep me sane…especially since she sometimes does our laundry while she’s over here. She’s also a really good cook.
Ok, here comes the fun part…Close my eyes, spin around and point my finger AT…
- Stereoette - Because she’s cute, fun, smart and a total fashionista
- Bad Alice - Because she recently had a birthday and I enjoy reading her daily journey in which she reconciles her life with her faith.
- Jane - on whose bad side I hope never to get, but she makes me laugh when I read about the others who have!
