You know those people from school that you never really knew, but recognize because you always saw them around campus? Usually, they were a friend of a friend or something like that.

How come THOSE are the people you always see when you search profiles on things like MySpace and Friendster? Never the people you really knew, just the floating, nameless faces.

Odd, that.
