Blink, Blink, Blink

Button is trying to learn how to wink. When we wink at her, she puts on the “concentration face” and gives what I can only describe as a very enthusiastic blink.

We’re trying to teach her the difference between “wink” and “blink” but it’s difficult because she already associates the word “blink” with “the lights on the bus go blink, blink, blink.”

So every time we bring up the word, she starts doing the hand gestures for “blink, blink, blink.”

And in other news, I discovered a chip on her front bottom tooth today.  It kind of disturbs me that I have no idea when or how it happened.

Oh this is an absolutely adorable time of discovery! I remember Jordan learning the difference between the wink and the blink. Each time he’d try the wink he’d contort his entire face in order to achieve a scrunched up right side - and to this day that’s the only side he can manage! It was so hilarious to watch, and I wish that I’d gotten a pix of it.

Sounds like you guys are right on par for teaching her the essentials!
