The part where I whine about how wimpy my bank account looks…

I hate it when online sites do a $1.00 “authorization” before they actually charge your card, then they just leave that $1.00 in limbo on your card until it falls off automatically - which could take, like, weeks.

Do you realize that between the two dollars in authorizations currently pending, these guys are withholding more of my money than I have earned in interest on that account for the entire year???

THAT IS MY DOLLAR.  I WANT IT BACK.

    I got rid of my former web counter service, cuz they would authorize my monthly charges, about a week before they were due, and the authorization would drop off — I’d see the money in my account and forget that there was a pre-authorization in place. So, on the due date, the company would comeback and grab the money, which resulted in my account being overdrawn.
