Another Update
I love it when things work out exactly the way I hoped they would. Even though it was a major pain, the last minute problem with the appraisal turned out to be in our favor because the relocation company (in record-breaking decision-making time) just decided to drop the price on the house. So now we’re getting the same great house for less money and hopefully we’ll still be able to close on time. We won’t know until the last minute, but we’re keeping our fingers crossed.
And in other news, I was sitting at my computer when I started hearing these strangely suspicious popping noises coming from the living room…
It has now been confirmed that the innate obsession with popping bubble wrap has nothing to do with learned behavior and can only be instinctual.

I am glad everything looks like it is going to work out for you guys. The whole buying/selling a house thing sounds so stressful, which is why we haven’t pursued it ourselves yet, though we want to eventually.

I’ve never heard of a house going down in price like that so someone is definitely in your corner. I hope you get to use the $$ to buy furniture or something fun. Yes? Maybe?
OMG she looks so cute! I agree with Chris Cactus, the 2nd one is absolutely priceless! She’s gone from baby to toddler overnight.

I’ve said it before and I’m sure I’ll say it many more times, she is too stinkin’ cute. I just love those big eyes!! The caught expression is priceless!!
I’ve had that happen a few time with appraisals. It’s a good thing for you, but not so hot for the Seller.
however, the appraiser probably could have pulled the value up had he just worked at it a bit more. There are some appraisers in our area that I request NOT be used simply because they do that to us all the time. It’s ridiculous! Good thing that didn’t happen on the house you’re selling though, can you image how terrible that would be?
